Privacy policy

Vynwork is a neighbourhood marketplace operated on the Vynwork platform. We process personal data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What we store and why

• Account & profile (name, email, bio, skills, hourly rate, location) — to run your membership. Legal basis: contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
• Availability & imported calendar events — to let neighbours book you. Legal basis: contract.
• Gigs, applications, ratings — the marketplace itself. Legal basis: contract.
• Bookings, payments, invoices — processed via Stripe; invoices are retained for the statutory bookkeeping period. Legal basis: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).
• Marketing email — only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw anytime under Settings → Privacy.

Your rights

From Settings → Privacy you can, without asking anyone: download all your data (Art. 15/20) and delete your account (Art. 17). Deletion anonymizes invoices rather than destroying them, as bookkeeping law requires. You can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Processors

Payment data is handled by Stripe (PCI-DSS compliant); we never see your card number. Calendar feeds are fetched read-only from the URL you provide and can be disconnected at any time.
